Oatmeal Toasting & Sandwitch Bread

You must all now feel sad about this.

SAD! You bastards!!

An interesting sounding recipe.
Ingredients
3 cups Unbleached Bread Flour
1 cup rolled oats
2 Tbl butter
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbl brown sugar or honey
2 tsp instant yeast (alt: 1 pkt dry yeast)
1 1/3 cups milk, lukewarm
3/4 cups raisins or currants
Preparation
Mix together all ingredients to create a shaggy dough. Knead by hand 10 minutes or 45 minutes by machine until smooth.

Put dough in a lightly greased bowl and allow to rest 1 hour, until not quight double.

Proofing: Shape as cylinder and place in 9x5" pan and cover with greased plastic rap and allow to rise 45-60 minutes until crested 1-2 inches over the rim of the pam.

Bake at 350F for 35-45 minutes. They say the center will reach 190F, but we'll never know.
