Spinach Dip
Notes
This is a favorite of my mother's and of my grandmothers as well. Always best if served into a hacked-up monster loaf of sourdough, though one could be genteel and use a sectioned baguette and spreading knives if you positively had to.
Ingredients
2 large cartons (32oz) sour cream
2 pkgs Knorr's vegetable soup
3 scallion onions (for chives)
1 pkg (16 oz) cream cheese, softened, softened
1 pkg frozen chopped spinach, drained
1 can water chestnuts, diced
monster sourdough loaf, hollowed
Preparation
Refrigerate to allow flavor to develop. Hollow out round loaf of French bread. Cut rremoved bread into squares and fill hollow with dip.
