room temperature

buttermilk

chopped apple

Preparation
Butter a 9x5" loaf pan and preheat oven to 350F.
Mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon and flour and crea-in butter. Mix to coarse crumb consistency and stir in nuts. Set aside.
For the bread, mix the flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butterwith sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs in and alternate flour mixture and buttermilk, folkding until smooth. Fold in apples and nuts, pouring batter into loaf pan.
Top bread with mixture. Bake for 50 minutes at 350F.
