Apple 2 Morrow
Notes
I'm making up this title about 50%. I can make out "Apple" and then maybe its a Z or a 2 or an equals sign and then maybe "Mor...." or "Nor...." Use of pencil has not improved the archiving process, nor has the rather hurried hand.

"Apple 2 Morrow" makes it a pleasant play on the later-family name.
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
1 cup, flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup additional sugar
2 tsp baking powder
dash salt
3/4 cup milk
either 16 oz cherries
or 5 cups tart apples, sliced
Preparation
Melt butter in an 8-10 inch square pan at 350F. Mix flour, 3/4 cup sugar, salt, add milk and beat well.

Pour batter into hot butter -- do not stir. Scatter fruit on top of batter and sprinkle with additional sugar. Bake 50 minutes or until golden brown.
