Chicken in Paprika Sauce
Yield:
6-8 servings
Ingredients
4 lbs chicken pieces
1/4 lb butter
2 large tomatoes or 12 cherry tomatoes
2 green peppers, cut into large pieces
10 small onions
4 celery stalks, cut into small pieces
1/3 of 10 1/2 oz cream of chicken soup
2-3 tsp Hungarian paprika
1/8 tsp red pepper
2 tsp salt
1-2 Tbl corn starch
2 Tbl cold water, mixed with cornstarch
Preparation
Brown chicken. Add green peppers, onions, tomatos & celery. Simmer covered for 15 minutes.

Combine remaning ingredients except cornstarch and water in a small saucepan. Heat just to boiling point, stirring constantly.

Pour sauce over chicken and vegetables. Cover and cook over low heat for about an hour or until chicken is fork-tender.

If sauce is thin, thicken with corn starch dissolved in cold water
