Cranberry Salad (Christmas)
Notes
I'm a bit dubious about this recipe based solely on the fact that pineapple is supposed to be one of the few fruits you cannot normally embed in gelatine as the acidity in the fruit inhibits jelling. Perhaps the cranberry sauce adds the extra oomf?
Ingredients
1 large or 2 small pkgs rasberry Jello
16 oz whole cranberry sauce
1 8oz can crushed pineapple including juice
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cups Burgundy or Port wine
1/3 cup walnuts, diced
 
Dressing
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sugar
lemon juice to taste
Preparation
Put cranberry sauce into hot water with jello. Add nuts when almost firm.
